This Mountain Modern-style duplex designed by Sagemodern is one of several dozen homes Plant prefabricated for The Palisades at Olympic Valley, a new development in the heart of Tahoe ski country.
Each unit of this “Slalom” model home makes the most of its 2,000 square feet with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a media room, mudroom, and an open-plan living space that extends onto a large, covered deck for indoor-outdoor living.
The garages were built on-site while Plant prefabricated the living spaces. Each half of the duplex was constructed as three fully-finished Plant Modules: one for the first floor, set next to the garage, and two for the second floor. All six modules were installed in less than five hours, with flooring, tile work, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, and even appliances already in place for minimal on-site finish work.
