When our clients decided to build their dream home on a tree-lined, hillside lot in Hollywood, California, they enlisted the Plant Design Studio to bring their vision to life. Based on our LivingHome 5, the resulting three-bed, three-bath home was customized to accommodate the unconventional shape of an existing swimming pool and to allow for stunning views of the local area by moving the master suite upstairs. A large deck off the master suite was added to further take advantage of these views. Sustainable features of the home include efficient heating and cooling and low-flow water fixtures. A beautiful garden, which can be seen as you enter the front door, incorporates drought-tolerant plants and benefits from a rain catchment system. The home was manufactured as eight Plant Modules™ for an efficient install and maximum speed to occupancy.
